Certifications – Welding

• Certification of Completion

  Students who successfully complete program requirements will receive a certificate of completion from The Center of Industry & Technology (CIT). CIT meets the requirements of the Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission. There are requirements for curriculum hours, written exams and hands-on training.

• Welding Certifications

  CIT tests in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) D1.1 and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section IX. Students have the opportunity to test and certify in plate (structural) mild steel 6010 and 7018 or pipe (pressure vessel) 6010 and 7018. Mig tests are also offered on mild steel plate and Tig tests on mild steel, stainless or aluminum plate or pipe.
